THIS ONE THING I KNOW
Sometimes when you're starting a new project, job, course, relationship, or phase (college, parenthood, marriage, empty nest, loosening or breaking the symbolic umbilical cords with your parents, losing weight, or trying a new health plan, etc.), life can seem so scary. However, what I have found over the years is that feeling anxious and a bit nervous at these times is normal. Although this apprehension might be a signal to evaluate your situation and choices, after this thorough assessment of the pros and cons, logic and practicality, reason and rhyme, the solution might be to keep marching forward.
Instead of pulling the sheets over your head, feeling sorry for yourself, or interpreting the feelings, emotions, and thoughts as those of menace and melancholy, loneliness might, instead, be seen, felt, and heard as freedom, liberty, and independence. Instead of listening to the voices of present or past doom, this can be a time when the stage curtains go up, and one of the star-studded performances of your life is on. All of the practice in working diligently, loving the right way, and believing in who you are can be called upon to tackle the tasks at hand smoothly and effectively.
Fear of the unknown is simply a normal resistance to change, and good change always brings about good fortune! Have a great day, rest of the week, and life! Smile; your light is shining; just take it all in one fabulous ray at the time!
